A little bit of History
Glyfa is a settlement of the village of Lygia that belongs to the Municipality of Vartholomio. A small number of refugees from Minor Asia have applied here since 1924, when their place was recommended by the authorities, as ideal crops. The refugees come mainly from rural areas and for this reason the settlement in cities did not "suit" them. It is said, in fact, that when the first families came to see Glyfa, they exclaimed; "The soil of the homeland, the soil of the homeland!".
